The Flight - 2 minutes of peace over old and modern Shanghai

To shake off, at least for a moment, the nasty problems of the time, we offer you a little break.

A flight of homing pigeons overflying the old roofs of Shanghai, in the charming Former French Concession, surrounded by the modern skyline of the city. At the end of the afternoon, on a beautiful winter day, they circle before reaching the pigeon loft perched on top of an old townhouse.

(Pigeon racing has a long history in China, and breeding homing pigeon is still a well developed activity, even in the heart of the most modern cities. Recently, a Chinese fan bought a champion pigeon for 1.6 million euros!).
